Kyle was born and raised in Northern California, where his life initially revolved around baseball and training to become the best player he could be. After his college baseball career came to an end, he caught the bug for cycling, hiking, and travel.

He spent a full year studying abroad in London and fell in love with all aspects of travel—experiencing new cultures, trying unfamiliar foods, stepping out of his comfort zone, and making lifelong friends along the way.

While travel had always been an interest, cycling, what originally sparked his love for the outdoors, became a passion almost by accident. Shortly after his baseball career, Kyle found himself missing the structure and purpose of training. As luck would have it, he lived right across the street from a bike shop. He bought a bike, joined group rides, entered a few races, and was quickly hooked. Beyond the fitness and competition, he came to love the social side of cycling—whether pushing himself on hard rides or cruising to a coffee shop with friends, taking in the scenery along the way.

The day after graduating college, Kyle began his journey as a cycling and hiking guide. Since then, he’s led over 100 trips across the U.S., Europe, and even spent a winter season guiding in Vietnam and India. He often says that travel and the outdoors have changed his life for the better—and now, his greatest joy is sharing that magic with others.

When he’s not guiding, you’ll likely find Kyle on an epic bike ride, cooking for friends, or catching live music.
