There is probably no need to introduce Yellowstone National Park to anyone. It is one of the most iconic U.S. national parks due to its stunning geological features.

Spring is when bison calves are born, and bears with cubs start to emerge from hibernation. The vegetation in March is still thin, so elk and moose are easier to spot. March is also one of the best months to see wolves in Lamar Valley.

Andrew Roberts, co-founder of EXP Journeys, highlighted in a Zoom interview that following the “unwritten rules” of ethical wildlife viewing is especially important during spring. This season is the peak birthing time for many wildlife species, making them especially vulnerable. Mothers become highly protective, defending their own survival and their newborns. Keep your distance, do not get close and respect their privacy.
