A Solana Beach native, Alana has always felt most at home near the water—surfing waves at Cardiff Reef, logging long runs along the coast, and playing soccer under the sun. Her love for the game took her to the University of Michigan, where she got a true taste of winter and became a Wolverine through and through. On her way back west, she made a two-year pit stop in Breckenridge, CO to get the snowboarding out of her system—then realized there’s no place like home. She’s been rooted in San Diego ever since.

Alana’s marketing career spans agencies, startups, and mission-driven brands, where she’s led everything from brand storytelling to product launches. With a few Mount Whitney summits under her belt, a passion for building community, and a love for adventure, she thrives on creating moments that connect people to places—and to each other, just like EXP Journeys.

When she’s not behind the scenes crafting strategy, Alana is soaking up the Southern California sun—hiking local trails, cheering on her two soccer-playing daughters from the sidelines, and enjoying beach days with her husband, their girls, and their yellow lab, Daisy.
