Originally from a small Midwestern farming community of 1,800 people, McKenzie spent her childhood exploring cornfields and woods, playing sports, traveling for sporting tournaments, working in agriculture, and helping large animal farms. McKenzie made a significant decision when she was younger: simply put, she decided to not live her life like everyone else. McKenzie left her small town to explore Alaska, working at a hatchery and as a field tech saving Hawksbill Sea Turtles for Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Soon after, she decided to ditch the Midwest and enjoy life in sunny San Diego. When not at work, McKenzie can be found at the gym, hiking, pet-sitting for friends, tending to her botanical babies, and boogieing at music festivals/events.
